I’ve been quiet with this newsletter for a while…

It’s easy to get caught up in the existential threat that is uncertainty, and in that it becomes easy to lose sight of the path you are on.

Weeks, months - nearly one year of reflection and work amidst the challenges has brought me back to the start.

A new start.

One with clarity and one with conviction.

In my last issue we spoke about readiness being a decision, not a feeling. And that is true. But there’s readiness and then there is bouncing back. There is starting, and then there is restarting.

Things are very rarely linear, and we can constantly feel like we are in a situation where we are starting again, where we have no choices or no other options.

But in those moments, we always have a choice. A choice in how we respond to it. How we build new options, and new pathways.

But when the momentum is lost, it takes work! A lot of work! Amongst all the questions, its about responding to the situation in a way that can build new paths, and new opportunities.

So, The Playbook is back. With a new twist.

I still strongly believe that there are fundamental lessons that can translate from elite sport into business, and we’ll explore these.

So, each week we will be talking about what these are and how they can be applied not only to business, but to you!

We’ll be tackling issues that resonate the most with us.

There will be a strong flavour of “performance” - a word I am becoming more and more intrigued by…

At the end of each week - I want there to be one key thing you can take away to apply to your life and, in some cases to your business.

I’m looking forward to the start of this new chapter.

I’m looking forward to exploring and sharing this journey with you and making sure that we all take something away into our lives that makes it just that little bit more positive.

Best,

Daniel Holloway
